Local author Lynette Ebberts donates all proceeds from new memoir to Mayo Clinic’s Poverello Foundation

FERNANDINA BEACH – Local Author Lynette Ebberts is proud to announce the release of her long-awaited memoir, "What Are The Chances? A Faith-Led Journey of Hope, Healing, and Hell on Earth," available now in paperback and ebook on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, other online booksellers, and at bookstores by request.

The memoir delivers a raw account of Ebberts' ability to beat the odds while facing catastrophic medical challenges. Her journey includes over 50 surgeries from head to toe, many of which were performed by specialists at Mayo Clinic's Rochester campus, including nine complex jaw surgeries, resulting in complete bilateral jaw joint replacements. Because the clinic plays an "oversized role" in her survival and recovery, Ebberts is dedicated to "paying it forward" by supporting the foundation established by Sister Generose Gervais.

In a mission to "pay it forward," Ebberts has pledged that 100% of the book's proceeds will be donated to Mayo Clinic’s Poverello Foundation. This vital program provides financial assistance to patients in need, a cause close to the author’s heart after her own extensive experience as a Mayo Clinic patient since 2009.

"Becoming an author was not even on my radar," said Ebberts, "but here we are, celebrating this special event together. The more books sold, the more we can work as a community to restore hope to fragile patients in need."
