Beginning Jan. 29, Amelia Island will host over three days of performances by some of the most renowned storytellers and performers in the country. Donna and Mark Kaufman, owners of the popular bookstore and bistro and founders of the Center for Arts and Culture, have made the festival possible.
Three evening concerts are scheduled. Thursday, Jan. 29, 7:30-9 p.m., a concert at Story & Song Center for the Arts and Culture will feature two husband-and-wife acts – Flagship Romance and The Rough & Tumble. Friday, January 30, a 7:30 p.m. concert at Springhill Suites, Keep to the Funny Side, featuring Anne Rutherford and Norm Brecke, will feature the dynamic duo who blend quick wit, warm-hearted storytelling, and musical flair to entertain. Saturday, Jan. 31, evening concert, again at Springhill Suites at 7:30 p.m., features Andy Offutt Irwin and Carmen Agra Deedy – two of the most celebrated voices in contemporary storytelling – who will take the stage.
