The Fernandina Observer is retracting its original report on the Nov. 3 vote on Florida Amendment 3 because it contained incorrect election results.
The correct Nassau County results show that voters overwhelmingly approved the amendment, with 36,781 votes in favor (74.07%) and 12,874 opposed (25.93%).
The amendment, which expands Florida's homestead property tax exemption, also passed statewide with 61.99% approval.
The Observer has published a corrected report using the Nassau County Supervisor of Elections' results.
