Monty Alexander and Jane Monheit to headline 2025 Jazz Festival

The Amelia Island Jazz Festival announces its 2025 concerts Sept. 28 to Oct 4. Legendary pianist Monty Alexander will appear on Oct. 4, and internationally renowned jazz vocalist Jane Monheit will be on stage Oct. 3. Both shows will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Courtyard/Springhill Suites by Marriott.  

A beloved figure in jazz, Monty Alexander was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and has been based in the U.S. for nearly six decades. He brings a joyful blend of jazz and Caribbean rhythm to every performance. Grammy-nominated and featured on over 75 recordings, Monty is celebrated for his vibrant personality, soulful melodies, and unmatched ability to fuse jazz with calypso, reggae, gospel, and the blues. Another Grammy-nominated artist, Jane Monheit, has enchanted audiences around the globe with her heartfelt interpretations of jazz standards and the Great American Songbook. Her ability to connect with the audience through song creates an intimate and unforgettable concert experience.

Now in its 22nd year, the Amelia Island Jazz Festival will also present Tony Cruz and the Latin Jazz Legends, Longineu Parsons, the Les DeMerle Band featuring Bonnie Eisele, University of North Florida Jazz Ensemble 2 directed by Dennis Marks, The Spare Rib Six Dixieland Band featuring Bill Prince, and 2025 AIJF Scholarship recipient, Aiden Dubberly, with his Quintet.
