September Brown Bag Lunch

“Let’s Go Kayak the First Coast” with Susan Martin

September 2 @ noon at the museum

While we navigate these stormy waters, it’s not too late to find a safe outdoor activity! Join us at the museum for an invigorating discussion with Susan Martin, who will not only describe some of her best experiences kayaking across Florida’s Historic First Coast, but will also offer insider tips, techniques, and equipment recommendations to keep your next trip afloat. Attendance is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, first-come, first-served, and is wheelchair accessible. Masks are required by city ordinance. We will stream part of this program on our Twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/ameliaislandmuseumhistory, and on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ameliamuseum/. For more information, contact Joshua at 904-261-7378 x. 102 or at Joshua@AmeliaMuseum.org.

September 3rd on 3rd

Exhibit Opening: “Unlocking the Past: A Brief Retrospective of the Amelia Island Museum of History”

September 18 @ 6pm at the museum

The Amelia Island Museum of History is in the latter stages of redoing our entire permanent exhibition, which makes this the perfect time to take a look at how far we’ve come! Join us for an evening of nostalgia and story-telling, as we sit down with some of the folks who made our museum what it is today. Following this discussion will be a special exhibit viewing of some of our past exhibitions, as well as artifacts about the museum itself—from the closing of the historic jail to the present day. Attendance is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. Seating is limited, first-come, first-served, and is wheelchair accessible. Masks are required by city ordinance. We will stream a portion of this program on our Twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/ameliaislandmuseumhistory, and on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ameliamuseum/. For more information, contact Joshua at 904-261-7378 x. 102 or at Joshua@AmeliaMuseum.org.
