This is an update to inform you that our paddle this year will be held Saturday June 13th. This year's paddle we will be raising money for "Building Battle Buddies" a Nassau County non-profit that trains and provides service dogs for Veterans.
We hope to have a larger group than normal this year due to the shortened course. Yes that is correct. This year we have to move the finish line to the area next to the Dee Dee Bartles Boat ramp, so our participants will not have to park in town and pay for a full day of parking.
We hope to still stage the kayaks at Mr. Simmons lot the day before the event however, the Saturday of the event participants will park at Dee Dee Bartels where the river cruise boat will pick them up and transport them to St. Mary's for the start. They will then finish at the Dee Dee Bartels Boat ramp where they parked. The after party will still be at the Green Turtle that afternoon.
