Amelia Community Theater has announced that its new managing artistic director will be Stephen Carver, a veteran of community theater leadership and a fourth-generation member of a theatrical family.

“ACT board president Jayne Jeney said, “Our search committee and the ACT board feel fortunate to have found someone with Stephen’s experience and expertise.”

Carver is a graduate of Denison University and has led community theaters in Kalamazoo MI and Longmont CO. He also has been a working actor in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. But community theater is his first love. “It’s all about building and celebrating community,” he said.
