Chris Augustine, spokesperson for WestRock sent the following information to the Fernandina Observer regarding the incident that occurred at the Fernandina

Beach Mill:   "About 8:00 p.m. last night, there was a small fire in one of our empty trailers at WestRock's Fernandina Beach Mill.  The fire was contained in an area designated for trailers.  The cause of the fire is unknown.  There were no injuries. WestRock is working with the Fernandina Beach Fire Department to determine a cause . . ."

Augustine further said the loud sounds heard in the distance were exploding tires on the trailer.  The trailer is used to transport paper.
