Robin C. LentzVeteran education professional and former City of Fernandina Beach Mayor/Commissioner, Robin C. Lentz, is seeking a seat on the Nassau County School Board, District 1, this August.
Lentz currently works as a school counselor at Fernandina Beach Middle School and has been with the Nassau County School District since 2004 where she began her education career teaching reading and language arts at Hilliard Middle-Senior High School and spent a large part of her career as the school counselor at Yulee Middle School.
Mrs. Lentz says her experience working in several schools within Nassau County and with local government will enable her to focus on four key priorities for Nassau County School District:
1. Ensuring the safety of our students
2. Continuing the positive trend for graduation rates and student success
3. Providing efficient and transparent governance of tax dollars
4. Planning for future growth
Lentz earned an undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism from Georgia State University in 2002 and a graduate degree of education in school counseling from the University of North Florida in 2007. Her professional accomplishments include being named the 2004 Nassau County First-Year Teacher of the Year and the 2006 Nassau County Big of the Year. Lentz has a history of involvement with several non-profits in Nassau County including Take Stock in Children, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Amelia Island Runners.
She has been married to Toby Lentz for nearly sixteen years and they have two school-aged children: Avery, a second-grader at Southside Elementary School, and Maddux, an upcoming kindergartener at Southside Elementary School. She and her husband completed the goal of running a full marathon in all 50 states in 2016.

All Nassau County registered voters are eligible to vote for Nassau County School Board positions regardless of address and location. Early voting begins August 17, 2018 and voting day is August 28, 2018.
