Liberty Academy: The Buzz on Beekeeping

Liberty Landscape Supply has announced a new event series titled "Liberty Academy," which offers continuing education, expert guidance, and community engagement for area homeowners, contractors, and hobbyists alike. These sessions provide approachable, real-world knowledge and support Liberty's ongoing commitment to making landscape projects easier.

Liberty Academy: The Buzz on Beekeeping will take place on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at its Fernandina Beach location. The educational session will be led by Michael Leach, beekeeper at BeeFriends Farm, and is designed to introduce attendees to the fundamentals of beekeeping and the critical role pollinators play in healthy landscapes.

During the presentation, guests will gain practical insights into bee behavior, hive basics, and how homeowners and gardeners can responsibly support pollinator populations. The event will feature light refreshments, honey samples, and a live bee demonstration, offering attendees a unique, hands-on learning experience. The event is free and open to the public.
