Comic book and fantasy fans buzzed when Ian McKellen added his considerable talents to the casts of the X-men and Lord of the Rings franchises, adding legitimacy to their worlds. Gandalf and Magneto are iconic characters, but they don’t require the full range of a Shakespearean actor. “Mr. Holmes” does, and Sir Ian’s skills are up to the task.

Editor's Note: After meeting Mark over the 4th of July weekend and hearing about his movie review website and passion for movies, I asked Mark if the Fernandina Observer could post some of his reviews. Mark is the son of Amelia Island residents Patrick and Susan Sabadie. Many people know Patrick through his volunteer work with the Boys and Girls Club.
