Take Stock in Children of Nassau County, Inc., a local nonprofit organization, is seeking a full-time Program Manager.
Our program serves academically promising low-income students. We offer college scholarships to students, provide caring volunteer mentors, and instill hope for a better life. Our comprehensive services begin in middle school, continue through high school, and include students' transition into college and career.
The Program Manager provides general support to the Executive Director by maintaining digital student records and program databases and managing the mentor application and training processes. The position also supports the Board of Directors in fundraising activities and manages the organization’s donor database.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (prefer education, non-profit data management, communication/marketing or business). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Little Green Light or other donor database, ability to learn new technical skills to manage the student and mentor data tracking system (STAR). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Constant Contact, Facebook and other technology applications are useful in the role. Bookkeeping skills are a plus.
General Duties
This diverse full-time position requires an energetic and flexible individual with both people and data management skills. While a significant amount of time is spent managing several data tracking systems the individual is also involved in event planning, student workshops, mentor recruitment and management, student application processing and interviews and other office administrative duties. Workload varies with the school and organization calendar, so time and project management skills are essential.
