Street resurfacing begins

New City of Fernandina Beach  metal street surfacing signs indicate "Your Tax Dollars at Work" and lists current City Commissioners.

If you are headed to the beach, parking will be limited.   Portions of North Fletcher Avenue, and several beach access points are closed in preparation for much needed street resurfacing.

As previously reported in the Fernandina Observer, the following areas are also scheduled for resurfacing:

• South 3^rd Street - Ash to Gum
• West 5^th Street - Fletcher to West End
• North Fletcher - Atlantic to Trout (includes Main Beach Parking)
• Allen Street - First Avenue to South Fletcher and the Beach Access
• North Casino - First Avenue to South Fletcher and the Beach Access
• South Casino - First Avenue to South Fletcher and the Beach Access
• Simmons Road Beach Access
• Hutchins Avenue – First Avenue to South Fletcher and Beach Access

The anticipated completion date is Friday, June 28, 2013.
