Story & Song announces new 10-month series of community conversations

Posted

The first of a new 10-month series of community conversations, "Let's Listen: Healing the Great Divides," kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 3 p.m. at the Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture. Facilitated by Maureen Kingsley Paschke, the focus of this first gathering is "The Art of Listening." Drawing on the Nobel Peace Center book "Those Who Listen, Change the World," participants will learn techniques for active listening and how to engage others in meaningful conversation. A goal of this series is to allow participants to mix and mingle with others who are not like-minded. Future topics include race, religion, government, mental and physical health, and more.
