Shrimp boat hits jetties - 3 rescued

News4Jax  reported 3 shrimpers were rescued in the waters off Fernandina Beach by local charter boat Captain Alan Mills of A C Charters after a North Carolina shrimp boat hit the Fort Clinch jetties. According to Reporter Marilyn Parker, Mills said "He stops 10 to 12 boats a year from hitting the jetties."

St Marys Earthkeepers said contractors from the Coast Guard were removing hundreds of gallons of fuel leaked from the vessel.
