An explosion loud enough to get the attention of many north island residents was heard just before sunset today. Individuals on the scene said the explosion caused a fire in a trailer on the south end of WestRock's property and did not involve the box plant. It does not appear there were any injuries and the fire appears to be under control. Photo courtesy of Ed Boner.
