Omni Amelia Island unveils reimagined spa with serenity garden, hydrotherapy pools

FERNANDINA BEACH — The newly reimagined spa at the Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa officially opened Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony showcasing expanded wellness amenities, a redesigned relaxation experience and plans to broaden community engagement.

The renovation introduces a 2,300-square-foot serenity garden, new hydrotherapy amenities, expanded treatment spaces and a design inspired by the natural beauty of Amelia Island.

Resort officials said the redesigned spa is intended to appeal not only to overnight guests but also to local residents seeking wellness experiences.

Located at 60 Amelia Village Circle in the Shops at Omni Amelia Island, the renovated facility blends what resort officials describe as “Low Country Zen” design elements — soft colors, layered textures and natural materials — to create a calming, nature-inspired environment.

The renovation includes new temperature-controlled hydrotherapy pools designed for alternating hot and cold immersion to ease muscle tension, a co-ed relaxation lounge, renovated locker rooms, massage treatment areas and an updated nail salon.

Guests touring the facility Wednesday also viewed an expanded retail area offering skincare products, jewelry, candles, clothing and personal care items intended to extend the spa experience beyond a single visit.

In an effort to broaden its wellness focus, the spa has partnered with the resort’s fitness center and Marche Burette restaurant to incorporate nutrition and fitness into the guest experience. Spa visitors can now access a chef-crafted menu from Marche Burette while relaxing on-site.

Large windows overlooking the surrounding maritime forest were incorporated into the redesign, with treatment rooms offering views of towering pines and native wildlife.

The spa’s expanded offerings come as luxury resorts increasingly emphasize wellness programming, with Omni officials signaling that future community-centered events may include yoga classes, sound baths and other after-hours experiences.

Treatments and appointments can be booked through the spa section of the Omni Amelia Island website.
