The Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed to operate in our city last month. New local businesses appear below.
During January 2017, the city surveyed 297 permits, an increase of 57 over January 2016. This brought the city $157,054 in fees. Permits were issued for 9 new residential buildings. The activity generating the most permits—55—was roofing/reroofing. A sampling of permitted building activity appears below.
