Nassau Humane Society has announced their annual fundraiser, Pasta 4 Paws, which has brought animal lovers together to help homeless animals for 20 years, will be replaced by a brand new event. Barktoberfest will be held Oct. 11 from noon-4 p.m. at Mocama Beer Company. The latest event combines everything that the traditional fundraiser offered with an all-new family fun vibe.
The event will include a silent auction, live music, festive food, activities and entertainment for kids and, of course, dog adoptions. “All of the support from our community over the past 20 years through Pasta 4 Paws has helped save countless lives,” said Executive Director Chantel Scherer. “Barktoberfest represents an exciting new chapter — an opportunity to celebrate in a bigger, more interactive way while continuing to raise vital funds for the animals who need us most.”
Proceeds from Barktoberfest will benefit Nassau Humane Society’s life-saving programs, including sheltering homeless pets, medical care through the Second Chance Medical Fund, and adoption services that help animals find loving homes.
Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are now available, offering local businesses the chance to showcase their support for the community and animal welfare.
