Nassau County’s Future Business Leaders of America chapters competed against peers from Duval and Baker Counties on January 24th at the FSCJ Kent Campus in Jacksonville. 59 Nassau County students placed first or second in their individual or team events. Many of these students will compete at the state competition in Orlando in late March.

Highlights of this year’s competition for Nassau included perfect scores posted by Robert Cooke (YHS, Intro to Public Speaking), Abigail Fahlgren (WNHS, Job Interview), and Alyha Jeeboo (WNHS, Emerging Business Issues); and four first place finishes in IT events from students in the new NTCC Computer Science and Information Technology program (Jacob Frazier – Computer Problem Solving, Alexander Hutto – Cyber Security, Correal Thomas – Help Desk, and Jackson Gilpin & Kai Jaramilo – Network Design Team).
