Florida’s Commissioner of Education, Pam Stewart has shared good news with the Nassau County School District. The Nassau County School District has once again been designated an Academically High-Performing School District for the 2015-16 school year, per section 1003.621, Florida Statutes. There are 67 School Districts in the State of Florida. Nassau County is one of only 7 counties in Florida to receive this honor. In 2007, the Legislature created a designation for a school district known as an academically high performing school district. To be designated as an academically high performing school district, a school district must meet the following requirements:
The Nassau County School District has been an Academically High-Performing School District for 11 of the past 12 years.
