Update: I found a useful tool linking me to a CDC website. As of April 15, 23,749 have been vaccinated in Nassau County. That is 26.8% of the total population. Of individuals 65 and over years of age, 76.3% have been vaccinated. The percent of the population greater than but equal to 18 years of age 33.4%. ( I assume that does not include those who are 65 and over.) Here is the link to the CDC website. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view
Editor's Note: Two Nassau County residents died from COVID recently, but hospitalizations have decreased and daily totals showing COVID positive tests have decreased. A couple of breakdowns posted last week showed the age of those who tested positive prepared by Nassau County Emergency Management. Younger people are getting COVID. We urge all those who have not received a vaccine to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
