Main Beach Boardwalk construction moves forward

Within three weeks, Phase I of the Main Beach Boardwalk construction will be completed said workers on site.  The plan to replace the deteriorating structure built in the 1980's, was fraught with controversy.

Opponents of the proposed plan wanted  the  boardwalk to be built in the same location, but state officials refused the city's request to do so.  Now the structure is  30 feet west of the former location.
