Look for the white balloon - Filkoff schedules more community meetings

Submitted by

Mayor Arlene Filkoff

"Interest in the white balloon meetings seems to be a bit better, so I will schedule three more of them for upcoming weeks.  Again, I will attempt to answer any and all questions you might have and hopefully you can share your thoughts with me.

We had a great turnout at the meeting held at Peck and a request was made to hold regular meetings there, so I will.

MEETINGS AT PECK:  10:00 on

September 7

October 5

November 2

December  7

UPCOMING WHITE BALLOON MEETINGS:  10:30 on

August 29^th  at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club back porch

September 5^th at the Gazebo in Central Park

September 12^th at the Airport Parking Lot (bring a chair)

My regular monthly meeting is scheduled for September 6^th at 7:00pm in the Police Department Community Room.

Again, you can contact any of your commissioners by phone or email (info on the city website).  Please take the opportunity to do so if you have questions or comments you’d like to share.  My email is afilkoff@fbfl.org and my cell number is 583-8629.

There is a lot going on in the City and you should have all the information you need to understand the issues and give your input.

Looking forward to seeing you!!  I’ll be the one holding the white balloon!"
