In and effort to educate and help residents and visitors enjoy their day at the beautiful beaches of Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, the Fernandina Beach Fire Department and Ocean Rescue Division will be introducing a new Surf and Flag Warning text messaging service beginning April 25, 2016.

To receive beach flag conditions twice daily, and anytime we have a significant change, text  to 888777 in message type BCHSAFE. Text STOP to 888777 to end. (Message and data rates may apply).

Surf and flag conditions will be updated daily at 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM call volume permitting.
