Nassau County School BoardAs a result of the passage of House Bill 7069, the earliest starting date for schools in Florida is now August 10, effective immediately. In addition, the bill amended section 1003.621, F.S., to require Academically High-Performing School Districts to conform to the uniform opening date. The Nassau County School District had previously adopted a calendar for the school year 2015-16 using the waiver previously allowed the district as an Academically High-Performing School District. As we can no longer use that waiver, our 2015-16 calendar must be revised.

Two revised calendar drafts are posted on the Nassau County School

District website, www.nassau.k12.fl.us , [Or See Calendars Below] for parent and NCSB employee input. Please "vote" for A or B by sending an email to

calendar@nassau.k12.fl.us stating your preference. Input can be taken up to Friday, May 1.

NOTE: The "A" and "B" labels on these calendars are

not related to the "A" or "B" used to identify two

choices during the original calendar input. These are both adaptations of

the calendar approved by the school board on 2/12/15.
