Update on April 17, FDOH from Nassau County Sheriff's Office - After completing investigation, it was determined that one previously reported Nassau County case was not a Florida resident. That individual’s case will be counted in their state of residence. As of 11 AM, April 17, 2020, the corrected Nassau County case count is 39.
Florida Department of Health Updates New COVID-19 Cases, Announces Thirty-Five Deaths Related to COVID-19, Evening Update
~22,674 positive cases in Florida residents and 666 positive cases in non-Florida residents~
Today, as of 6 p.m., there are 23,340 total** Florida cases.
While Florida’s testing has increased over the past week, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 10 percent. Of the 10,957 tests performed on April 15, there were 1,265 positive results, or 12 percent.
Thirty-five people have died who tested positive for COVID-19 Charlotte, Collier, Dade, Highlands, Indian River, Manatee, Orange, Palm Beach, Polk, Santa Rosa, Seminole, St. Lucie, Suwannee and Volusia counties.

"As of 11:00 AM, April 16, 2020, FDOH Nassau has received three new cases with positive COVID-19 testing in Nassau residents. The first case is a 56 year-old female with no known contact to a confirmed case and with no travel-related exposure. The second case is a 32 year-old male with unknown contact to a confirmed case and with unknown travel-related exposure. The third case is a 89 year-old male with known contact to a confirmed case and with no travel-related exposure. The Health Department is conducting case investigation and contact tracing on these cases. The individuals will remain in isolation until released by public health. This brings the total case count to date to forty for Nassau County. As of this date, 17 individuals have been released from isolation."
