Florida Department of Health Updates New COVID-19 Cases, Announces One Hundred Eighty Deaths Related to COVID-19
~512,421 positive cases in Florida residents and 5,654 positive cases in non-Florida residents~
Test results for more than 87,700 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Thursday, August 6. Today, as reported at 11 a.m., there are:
On August 6, 10.12 percent of new cases** tested positive.
There are a total of 518,075 Florida cases*** with 7,927 deaths related to COVID-19.
Since August 6, the death of one hundred eighty Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Hernando, Highland, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lake, Lee, Leon, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Putnam, Santa Rosa, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Suwannee and Volusia counties.
