Fire Fighters Local endorses Poynter in FBCC contest

Fernandina Beach City Commissioner Tim Poynter has received the endorsement of Local 2836, Organized Fire Fighters of Fernandina Beach. Poynter is seeking reelection this fall to another term on the Fernandina Beach City Commission.

Upon receiving the letter of endorsement, Poynter said, “I am grateful and humbled to receive this endorsement from an organization that truly represents such extraordinary levels of public service and professionalism in our city. Our community is fortunate to have so many dedicated and highly-trained firefighters and EMTs responding to emergencies in our community. Their average response time from dispatch to the scene in August alone was 3.39 minutes.”
