Dredging to remove 10,518 cubic yards of sludge from the Fernandina Harbor Marina is scheduled to be completed by April 23 in time for preparation for the annual Shrimp Festival scheduled for May 1, 2, and 3. Brance Diversified, Inc. is in charge of the operation.
According to Joe Springer, ". . . the dredged material is being transported in water tight trucks to the municipal airport where it is being staged for future use by the airport and the city."
