Fernandina Beach Police Department

January 26, 2022

This week’s FBPD Employee Spotlight is on Officer Chris Kopinski. Officer Kopinski has been with FBPD for 15 years and is currently assigned to Patrol on the day shift. He primarily works the Downtown area and can often be found walking the area of Centre Street.

Getting to know Officer Kopinski:

Do you have any hobbies? Some call it golf, but for me it is usually chasing that little white ball into the water or the trees. I enjoy a day on the golf course, sometimes frustrating, but always relaxing.

What is your favorite food? I grew up in Buffalo New York and I still like that hometown food. Beef on a Weck, Buffalo wings, pizza, and Sahlen’s hot dogs.

Do you have a favorite place to get away? – I love the mountains and hiking with my wife.

Do you have a favorite movie? It’s a toss up between Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket.
