The Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed to operate in our city last month:

The City Building Department issued 186 building permits in October, reflecting an end of year slow down. By activity, the greatest number of permits were issued for mechanical work, followed by plumbing and roofing permits. Five permits for new buildings were issued.
