City permit forms opposite the Community Development Department service counter at City HallThe Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed to operate in our city last month.

The City Building Department kicked off 2014 by surveying 215 building permits in January. Roofing and re-roofing permits led the way (38), followed by plumbing and plumbing remodel (36), electrical (29), general building (28) and mechanical (27) permits.
