Democrats Sponsor Forum on New State Laws

The Democratic Club of Amelia Island is hosting a legislative forum on Monday, June 26 at the Amelia Community Theater. The forum will cover new state laws that impact women, teachers, union workers, and the LGBTIQ community and voters.

Representative Angie Nixon, 13th District Jacksonville, will provide the session overview. Panelists will include Michelle Dillon, President, St. John’s Education Association, and leadership from organizations Equality Florida and All Voting is Local.

Lobby doors open at 4:45 p.m. Cash wine and beer bar and complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be available. The program starts at 5:45, with a midpoint intermission, followed by a Q&A session. The event will end at about 8:15 p.m.

Seating is limited and tickets are advanced purchase only. Tickets are $25 for club members, $35 for the general public, and $10 for young adults (25 and under).
