City proclaims the week of May 1-8, 2022, as “Municipal Clerks Week.”

In presenting City Clerk Caroline Best with a Proclamation honoring City Clerks at the May 3, 2022 Fernandina Beach City Commission (FBCC) meeting, Mayor Mike Lednovich recapped the history of the position of Clerk and explained the Clerk's role.

“I just want to tell you, on a personal note,” Lednovich said, “that Caroline and I meet frequently.  I could not do my job without her.  She is my steady right hand, and many times my guiding light.”  He went on to say that as he speaks with City residents, “Any person who interacts with Caroline just raves about her, giving her A+ reviews.”

Admitting that he only observes a fraction of what she does, Lednovich offered her sincere thank you for her inspiring job performance.
