Caroline Ella Hilde Konitzky, age 52, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, formerly of Emlenton, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on April 19th, 2026, at her home in Florida. She was born June 14, 1973, in Oil City, Pennsylvania.

Caroline escaped the cold winters of Pennsylvania to be near the ocean, which was her second love, with her love of animals being first. Caroline had a compassionate spirit and had a special place in her heart for animals. She often would take in strays and rescues into her home. Some of her happiest times were in the barn caring for her horses. Her kindness toward animals reflected a quiet strength and longing to bring comfort and care into the world.

She was proud of her German heritage. Her strong-willed nature led her to persevere through life's challenges with unwavering determination. Though life did not always unfold as she had hoped. Later in life, she had a hard time letting those she loved be close to her, but her animals were always near to her heart. She will be remembered for the lasting impression she left on those she befriended.

Caroline was the beloved daughter of Dr. Gustav and Karin Konitzky, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children Thomas (Kayla) Johnson and Eva Jackson, and her granddaughter Freyja Johnson.

She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Paul (Julia) Konitzky; her nephews Paul, Matthew and Alexander Konitzky; as well as her half-siblings Gustav (Peggy) Konitzky III and Sigrid Pickering, and their children.

Memorial Services will be private. Donations can be made to a local Humane Society in her honor.

Funeral arrangements will be held in her hometown in Emlenton, Pennsylvania
