Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County
Press Release
Submitted by Andrew Schmidt
May 6, 2020
Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County is now serving around 300 meals every evening Monday-Friday to our members. We are open from 4-6pm at both Clubs and also delivering meals to local member families who cannot make it to the meal distribution events.
In addition, and thanks to a generous donation from Story & Song Bookstore, we are distributing age-appropriate books to members to keep them entertained, engaged, and learning while they cannot be in schools. We tentatively hope to open for summer academy in June with increased health and safety measures provided that guidance from city, county, and/or state governments allow us to do so.
