Friends of the Library (FOL) needs your books, CDs and DVDs now so volunteers can get them sorted and organized for the Fall sale, taking place
November 16th, 17th and 18th. Our volunteers have been working since May to organize all of our early donations and we thank all who helped us get a
head start on our Fall sale collection. Due to the constraints on space in our sort room and on the selling floor at our sale, we are unable to accept
donations of magazines, encyclopedias, old text books, and Time/Life series books.
Contributions may be left in the book drop box under the covered walkway in front of Peck Head Start at 511 S. 11 th Street or use the collection area in the Peck Administration Center at 516 South 10 th Street. Go in the front entrance (Fir Street between S. 10 th and S. 11 th Streets), turn right and look for the Friends of the Library sign on your left, next to the stairwell. Our friends at Compass Self Storage located at 2641 Bailey Road have kindly allowed us to set up a donation drop. You will find a bin to drop off books right off the reception area on the first floor at Compass Self Storage. For large donations that donors are unable to handle, please call Patti Kirschling at 904-310-
9134.
After November 4th, we will no longer be excepting donations in order to allow our volunteers enough time finish sorting before the start of the Fall sale. We will start to except donations for our Spring 2018 sale right after the Fall sale is over. FOL’s Spring and Fall book sales feature thousands of books in dozens of categories, plus audio books, vinyl records, CDs and DVDs. 100% of the proceeds pay for specialized databases, network access, books, e-books, periodicals, and other materials to keep the Fernandina Beach Library current.
For further information regarding this event, on joining Friends of the Library, or to donate, please visit the Friends of the Library website at www.fernandinaFOL.org.
