Beach Driving Entrances Temporarily Closed to Vehicles

9/2/19 @ 4:50 p.m. -Please be advised that the vehicle access points at Peters Point, Scott Road and Lewis Street at American Beach are temporarily closed. The County has added mounds of sand at the entrances due to anticipated high waves in an attempt to slow flooding of the parking lot areas. Please do not attempt to drive over them to access the beach. We appreciate your understanding.
