The Nassau County Sheriff's office volunteered with the Greater Nassau Chamber of Commerce today along with students from West Nassau and others to fit and hand out 400 helmets and backpacks. Counting yesterday's handouts the total came to 717, according to Faye Overstreet, who managed the operation.
