A building at the corner of South 8th & Date streets is being demolished. The Code Enforcement Board of the City of Fernandina Beach cited the previous owner of Taylor Rental for numerous code violations. Since that time, the property has been sold. Prior to the building being used as a rental company, the building was home to Woodward Motor Company, a Chevrolet car dealership.
As of 2:15 p.m., the South 8th Street frontage still stands.
