An Evening in December will be presented Friday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m. and twice on Sunday, December 10th at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Amelia Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach. The community is invited to enjoy this annual celebration of the Christmas Story, which is presented each year in a unique blend of choral music, drama, and dance. The theme this year is “Be Born in Me.”

This is the 21st presentation of An Evening in December at Amelia Baptist Church. Each year the church offers an evening of music, drama, and dance as its gift to the community. More than 95 singers and 16 instrumentalists from the northeast Florida area will join in this celebration of Christmas. No admission is charged. An interpreter for the deaf will be provided at the 4:00 p.m. matinee on December 10. Childcare through age four is available with reservations. Amelia Baptist Church is located at 961167 Buccaneer Trail where it intersects with S. Fletcher Avenue and First Coast Highway at the roundabout near Harris Teeter.
