Registration is now open for Amelia Lifelong Learning’s fall 2017 classes in Nassau County.
Adults interested in learning Spanish or Italian, delving into one of the great plays of the 20th century, exploring the implications of Artificial Intelligence, investigating the relationship between monsters and heroes, or wanting to add some creative flair to their photographs are encouraged to register.
These classes are designed to offer adults the opportunity to explore new subjects in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, with no pressure, no papers, and no tests. Classes are offered at Amelia Island Plantation and at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Amelia Island Plantation:
Continuing Spanish for Busy People, with Berta Arias
Tuesday and Thursday 9:30-11:30 am, October 3 through November 9
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church:
Monsters and Heroes: Grendel and Beowulf, with Nancy Dickson
Monday, 10 am to Noon, September 25 through October 23
Italian for Travelers, with Barbara Kent
Tuesday, 1-3 pm, October 10 through November 14
Long Day’s Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neill, with Bernie McCabe
Wednesday, 10 am to Noon, September 27 through November 15
Photography, with Lea Gallardo
Session 1 is Photography Basics
Wednesday October 4, 10 am to Noon
Session 2 is Composition and Creativity
October 11, 10 am to Noon
Register for either or for both.
Implications of Artificial Intelligence, with Evelyn McDonald
Thursday, 1-3 pm October 5 through November 9. Participants need not have technical knowledge or experience.
