Mark LeaptrotEditor's Note: Mark Leaptrot grew up in Macon Ga. He was photographer for his high school paper, but his first real job was at a photography studio owned by the Macon Telegraph and News.

He worked under a seasoned chief photographer Danny Giland. In his senior year, he won a college art scholarship at Mercer university and later studied at Auburn University. After working for several firms and as an engineer at McDonnell Douglas, he decided to go to work as a contractor. For many years in his spare time, he was a professional wedding photographer.

He and his wife, Jenny Leaptrot have been married for 23 years.

Mark is also a professional musician and at one time was the official photographer for Grand Funk Railroad.
