Editor's Note: Mercedes Wright, moved  from Miami to Amelia Island almost 3 years ago.  After her sister and brother-in-law moved here 20 years ago, Mercedes was a frequent island visitor but now Amelia Island is her home.  She is a commercial real estate appraiser who enjoys our beautiful island and its friendly people.  We thank Mercedes for her contribution to the Fernandina Observer.
