Editor's note: Today's photo is a bit different than our typical photos for "Amelia Island revealed . . ." Two morning beach walkers, Nancy Padfield and Danielle Golacinski, asked us to recognize Jay Harris who is employed by Beach Raker, a company which cleans the beaches in Fernandina.

According to Nancy and Danielle, "He really does an excellent job...cleaning from the shore to the dunes. He also greets everyone with a huge smile and a warm greeting...he is a special person." So thank you Jay and thank you Nancy and Danielle, for appreciating clean beaches, and an individual who along with many, both paid an unpaid, work hard to keep our beaches clean.
