"I am a nature photographer and have been a teacher, musician, painter and textile artist. The spirit of nature envelops me. I love the skies and the weather, trees and flowers, animals large and small - and lately the beautiful birds near my winter home.
My photographic eye draws on my experience with line, color and composition. Since I received my first box camera at the age of 10, I have especially enjoyed capturing the light from Florida to South Africa and Tanzania. Not surprising after having grown up where the winters are long, cold and grey."
Editor's Note: Judi Lessin discovered Amelia Island about four years ago. She and her husband eventually purchased a home on North Fletcher. They love the beach and enjoy their book club, bird walks, and close friends who live on the island. We thank Judi for her contribution to the Fernandina Observer.
