Amelia Island beaches suffer from storms and events?

According to Arla Foster, American Beach was the scene of a six hours attempt last Wednesday to move a trailer from Lewis Street to Burney Park. Foster said , the trailer's contents were for an Omni Special Event. The trailer repeatedly became stuck in the sand. Although permits were obtained, Foster said, "American Beach has been heavily destroyed by storms and isn't conducive to driving. This is so wrong."
