The Fernandina Beach Main Street Board of Directors announced they have selected Lori "LuLu" Huppmann as their new Executive Director. Huppmann brings with her leadership, community engagement, and program management experience that will enhance FBMS's mission of supporting economic vitality while preserving the city's historic heritage and culture.

Huppmann grew up in Clearwater, Florida and is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. She moved to Fernandina Beach in 2017 where she quickly became a part of the local community by volunteering and participating in numerous local fundraising events.

In 2020, she joined the small business community by opening The Amelia Island Soap & Trading Company on Second Street, where she first became involved with the Main Street organization. As a small business owner, she grew to appreciate FBMS’s promotional events and other efforts to support the economic vitality of the downtown business district.

In 2023, Huppmann volunteered for the Island Hop Craft Beer Festival, which supports FBMS's Facade Grant Program. By 2024, she became a part-time employee with FBMS as their Events Coordinator and is currently leading the planning efforts for the 2025 Preservation on Main Street Conference that will take place in Fernandina Beach this coming July.

Huppmann states, "It's an honor to be selected as the new Executive Director for Fernandina Beach Main Street. I love this community and I am dedicated to the FBMS mission. I look forward to working with our Board of Directors, our amazing and dedicated volunteers, and our community partners to continue Fernandina Beach Main Street's success in promoting economic vitality and historic preservation."
