The party begins January 1, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. This event is the culmination of a year-long community-wide bicentennial celebration involving more than 30 organizations. Fernandina Beach Main Street, in partnership with the city, will host this epic community birthday party for nearly 1,000 attendees. Tables are sold out, but the community is invited to a once-in-a-lifetime birthday party. There will be a program with music, speakers from the city, historical characters from the Amelia Island Museum of History, and the Fernandina Beach Pirates.
One long table will be in the middle of Centre Street, stretching from Fourth to Front Street. Along the side of the street will be tents where guests pick up their pre-ordered meals. Each tent will contain the meals from two participating restaurants, as well as cupcakes. The Omni Amelia Island and The Ritz-Carlton will provide birthday cupcakes.
The pirates are providing their stage, which will be positioned in front of JJ Cooper, near the intersection of Third and Centre streets on the south side. Participating restaurants include AIBC Tavern, Arte Pizza, Baba’s, Mediterranean Grill, The Boathouse, The Crab Trap, First Love Brewing, Happy Tomato, Hofbrau Amelia, Mason’s Lobster Roll, Meal Ease Market, The Patio, Salt Life Food Shack, Timoti’s Seafood Shack and Wicked Bao. Dining Down Centre is a family-friendly event and is open to all. This is a non-alcoholic event. Only guests with Dining Down Centre tickets will be seated at a table and have access to meals provided. For additional event information, visit Fernandina Main Street.
